AU 01 - Schizophrenia

Will Graham’s ability to empathise with serial killers does more than give him headaches and nightmares. No, the concequences are much worse than that. The voices in his head started a few years back, though they were never so bad; he refused to acknowledge them and acknowledge the fact that his unique gift had caused him great harm – saying that he was fine and that he was in no way disfunctional. Diagnosed with schizophrenia, voices of those he stepped into the minds of do not leave him; they cloud his vision and control his every action. Still believing that he can work and somehow mold the illness for his benefit, he continues to work as a special investigator for the FBI, but has resigned from his teaching post.

The voices, however, are not satisfied. They do not want to be harnessed – they want to be the ones harnessing. As they grow louder and louder, their commands grow more and more forceful.

Will Graham is nothing but a puppet.
